What's Included?
Each HIDEXTREME HID Headlight Conversion kit comes with two high quality AC Digital Ballast's, two Xenon HID bulbs and all of the necessary wiring and brackets to complete your HID installation.
What is HID?
HID stands for High Intensity Discharge, which uses an electrical charge to ignite Xenon gas contained within the sealed bulb. HID Bulbs do not have filaments. The bulb is filled with a mixture of gasses including Xenon. When the bulb is ignited, an arc is created between the two electrodes. HIDEXTREME kits are not just a replacement bulb, your new conversion kit will include: Xenon charged bulbs, high performance AC Ballast and all the necessary hardware.
Is the Higher the Number the Brighter?
No, the K (Kelvin) represents the light output that the mixture of gasses in the bulb creates. For instance, a 6000K Bulb will have approximately 20% more light output than the 8000K bulb. Some customers desire the darker blues and purples to give there vehicle the exotic look.
How do I Know What Fits My Car?
Our new easy ordering system makes getting the right kit the first time, no problem. Just leave the technical stuff up to us.
Will I Have to Modify My Vehicle?
No, In fact, our kits are 100% Reversible and the OEM Halogen bulbs can be reinstalled.
Can I Use The Day Time Running Light Feature?
Only if the DTRL does not use the headlight bulb for the function, in most cases all aftermarket HID kits require the DTRL feature to be disabled or switched off.
What Should I Do If I Touch The Xenon Bulb?
The oils from your skin can shorten the life of the bulb, the oils can be removed with alcohol and a soft cloth.
How Long Do HID's Last?
Under normal conditions the bulbs can last up to 2500 hours, this can put the life span up to ten years.
